As many of you will have heard by now, CBBC have commissioned a second season of Wolfblood. So thank you all for watching it on telly, downloading it on iPlayer, and generally contributing to some quite remarkable viewing figures!
I’ll be writing some of the thirteen episodes, and I’m pleased to announce that Hannah George and James Whitehouse (writers of the season one episodes Mysterious Developments and Wolfsbane) will be returning. Also coming on board, the immensely talented and experienced Richard Kurti and Bev Doyle.
As for what happens…
At least two-thirds of the questions I’m asked, here and on Twitter, are requests for plot spoilers. Let me be clear here: I’m not going to tell you anything about season two – and you don’t actually want me to. There’s a reason they call them ‘spoilers’ – because they spoil your enjoyment of the series. I worked hard on this show, as did a lot of other people, and we want you to enjoy the episodes as they air, not have the experience ruined by leaks and gossip.
We plan to film in February 2013, and though it’s too early to say for sure, it seems probable that season two will be on your screens sometime in the autumn of 2013. Obviously, we’ll keep you all updated nearer the time.
In the meantime, keep watching the moors on the night of the full moon, and make sure your doors are locked, because the Wolfbloods are out there somewhere…

I really like wolf blood and I felt sad when wolf blood series 1ended so I can’t wait for series 2 and hope there’s a series 3 and I think the person who plays maddy is a really good acter and she’s really pretty.
I was sad too when wolfblood series 1 ended and I hope that rhidyan comes back to maddy. I also hope that Maddy’s friends can keep the secret.

Hi, big fan of your show. To tell you the truth I didn’t think it’d be good when I first heard of it. I mean too much of twilight, teen wolf, and the vampire diaries can put you off of werewolves for awhile. But I love Wolfblood! I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get through till autumn. You said you got the idea one day when you put the words “wolf” and “blood” together in your head. Do you believe that was fate or just your creative mind at work? Well, that’s quite a question! One of the great things about the creative mind is that none of us really know how it really works. So many of the best ideas just occur randomly, and there’s no explaining where they really come from or why our minds jump to that conclusion at that moment. I wouldn’t call that a greater plan – but the workings of the human mind are pretty miraculous in themselves, aren’t they…?

only just heatd of wolfblood im kind of a emo/goth geek when it comes to wearwolfs and vampires, i mean my whole world revolves around them i suffer from depression and bipolar and it seems when ever i watch wolfblood i can relax with a big tub of ice-cream. Yes im on the edge of my seat most of the time because i love bobby and aimee to bits their amazing. I think your absolutely amazing also i love how you have created such a brilliant show. There will be some new characters, and we will see more of Rhydian at some point.

hi i’m from Canada and i love wolfblood and since i’m here i don’t get good updates season 2 will come out so i would like to ask a few questions 1. are Amiee Kelly and Bobby Lockwood going to return in season 2? 2. when is season 2 going to start? 3. is the new season going to be focused around Madie and Rhidian or someone else. please and thank you
1) all of the cast will be back at some point during season two. 2) as I say in the FAQ, we don’t yet have a start date. 3) season two will be focused on most of our old characters, and some new ones.

I’m happy to confirm that’s not true! Maddy will still be the lead character in season two.
OMG!!! I can’t wait for Series 2 of Wolfblood. At first I didn’t really like it, thought it would be like all the other werewolf, vampire stuff… but its not!!! I can’t wait. I wish that it was coming out sooner!

I really don’t know when season two will show in Australia: I’m not even completely sure when it will show in the UK yet! And some of the season will revolve around the school, but as for who’s where when, you’ll have to wait and see…

I have just received a copy of the first series from Germany on dvd. Seems easy to change to English on the dvd and I am hoping all the episodes are the normal length etc. Just rewatched the first episode and loved being back in Wolfblood country. Yay (weird it’s not out on dvd in the UK though)

I am a big fan of wolfblood and I really can’t wait for the second season. However I was wondering if you were going to explore Maddy and Rhydian’s relationship in the second season as the end of the first left their relationship kind of up in the air?
I was also wondering if we are to expect any awesome wolf fights in the second season as we caught a glimps of it between Maddy and Rhydian’s mother.

We’ll be seeing that relationship change and develop at some point, yes. As for wolf fights: being CBBC, the amount and type of violence we can show is strictly limited. But there’ll definitely be some interesting confrontations this season…
